Medical update – 031209 The Early Report

Bottom line:  Do NOT descend on Greensboro.

Headline:  Mom fell last evening, broke a rib, went to the hospital, was released to Wagon Wheel Ranch.

I’m on my way to Greensboro on the first-ever Southwest Airlines Thursday 7am flight out of MSP.  My purpose is to make a eyes-on evaluation of the situation.  Pop is beside himself with worry about Mom(!!!), and George sounds very worried, himself.  The point of it all is that it may no longer be safe for Mom to live in an Assisted Living environment.  Pop confided to George last night that he was now of that thinking.  A big step.

I will be transferring planes at Midway (Chicago) from 9:35 to 11:15am ET, and will call Elizabeth (among other calls) at that time.  The topic of the day: our collective thoughts on getting M&P into Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point.  Pending evaluation from Maryfield’s staff, Mom would go to Nursing Care, Pop would be down the hall in Assisted Living.  Discuss.

I’ll be off the grid until late tonight.
