Medical update — 050610 Supplemental

I left Piedmont Place at about 1:30 thinking that I’d be back.  There should have been a call from the medical staff telling me that it was time to take Pop to the hospital.  Instead, I called in at about 4:30 and got a surprisingly favorable report.

Pop ate a hearty lunch of two cups of oatmeal, one cup of apple sauce and three cups of apple juice.  The staff is pushing fluids to make up for the increased incidences of diarrhea.  A stool sample was finally acquired using “accidental” collection methods.  Results will come in tomorrow.

So no hospital today.  If C.diff is detected from the stool sample, or if his temperature increases, away he’ll go.  Meanwhile, he sleeps.
