They were young, once.  They had hopes, dreams, kids, a mortgage, an empty nest and retirement.  How they conducted their lives through all of its phases may be revealed in these pages.  But the purpose of this writing is to chronicle their lives after retirement; to contrast assumptions against reality.  Theirs would be a unique and fascinating story if it weren’t so likely to happen to others.  So in this telling, you, perhaps, might gain the wisdom of their experience.

Update: Mom took over the writing of ElderBlog in January of 2013.
